FKM, commonly known by the brand name Viton©, are made from fluorocarbon elastomers. They are known for their exceptional chemical resistance, especially to oils, fuels, and solvents. FKM px-2 py-1s provide superior performance in high-temperature and harsh chemical environments, making them suitable for demanding industrial applications such as automotive, aerospace, and chemical processing.

FKM Recommended Uses

FKM Not Recommended

• Low molecular weight esters and ethers
• Amines
• Hot water and steam above 100°C
• Low-temperature applications below -15°C

FKM Limitations

• Limited resistance to ketones and amines
• Not suitable for steam or very low temperatures
• Poor performance in low-temperature flexibility

FKM Usable Temperature Range

-15°C (5°F) to 200°C (392°F), up to 250°C (482°F) for short periods
